Human resource development is a fundamental strategic objective of INCD-ECOIND, essential in consolidating its position as a centre of excellence in environmental research. A central pillar of this strategy is the alignment with the highest European standards, an effort officially recognized on August 30, 2024, when the institute received from the European Commission the right to use the “HR Excellence in Research” logo. This distinction validates the commitment to transparency, equity and quality in human resources management, in accordance with the European Charter for Researchers. Currently, the institute is in the process of implementing the HRS4R Initial Action Plan, with the perspective of collaborating with international experts to continuously improve talent management policies.
The strategy is based on the following priority directions:
National Research and Development Institute for Industrial Ecology – ECOIND has expressed its agreement to adhere to the CoARA principles and, although it is not yet a formal signatory of the CoARA Agreement, in performance evaluation, it follows and applies the CoARA principles, aiming for a qualitative and comprehensive assessment of research results, beyond traditional quantitative metrics.
